Role of NTC Thermistor In Dehumidifier

Warmer temperature in early spring also bring back the dampness. When the humidity in the environment is too large and the temperature reaches the condensation point, condensed water will be generated on the surface of the wall or object, and the ground will become wet, especially in the bath room, which will cause great safety risks. Most consumers will use a dehumidifier to dehumidify in the wet season, and the dehumidifier is always running after it is turned on. In order to avoid accidents caused by high working temperature of dehumidifier, manufacturers will install NTC thermistor as a temperature monitoring component.

In order to cooperate with the use of smart home, many dehumidifiers on sale at present will have intelligent control system. The temperature is monitored through the NTC thermistor. When the indoor temperature is lower than the condensation point temperature, the dehumidifier starts to work and dehumidifies effectively; When the indoor temperature is higher than the condensation point temperature, the dehumidifier stops to work. In this way, the dehumidifier can avoid running all the time, thus saving the running time and cost.

Dehumidifier generally includes a central processing unit, dehumidification unit, NTC thermistor and humidity resistor. Among them, the NTC thermistor is connected with the temperature sensing processing unit, and the temperature sensing processing unit is connected with the input end of the central processing unit. The central processing unit consists of a preset unit and a comparing unit. There is a preset temperature in the preset unit, and the preset temperature is the value of the condensation point temperature. The comparing unit compares the temperature measured by the NTC thermistor with the preset temperature, and the dehumidification unit controls the on-off switching circuit through the comparison results of the comparing unit, which is connected to the output end of the central processing unit. The humidity resistor is connected to the humidity sensor processing unit, which is connected to the input end of the central processing unit, and the output end of the central processing unit is connected to a display screen showing the temperature values and humidity values.

During the operation of the dehumidifier, NTC thermistor measures the temperature in the air, and the converted temperature is processed by the temperature sensor processing unit and input to the central processing unit. The central processing unit will get the detection temperature and conpare with the preset temperature of the preset unit, if the detection temperature is lower than the condensation point temperature, switch circuit connected, dehumidification unit starts to work. At the same time, after the humidity sensor processing unit is processed, the measured value of humidity resistor is converted to humidity value and displayed on the display screen. The temperature and humidity value can be displayed on the display screen to help users know about the ambient temperature and humidity.
